Ahhhhh, a hunter is a hunter, even in a kinja.

Was just coming to say that given my understanding the game is now, by virtue of being more accessible, RUINED.

Over seven years I’ve given Warframe I don’t know how many hundreds of hours and probably a few hundred dollars (to say nothing of Platinum made from grinding and selling items in-game), and I’ve loved a majority of it. To date it has one of the best free-to-play/recurrent spending business models I’ve seen in a game

It runs extremely well, haven’t had any issues so far. However, the way the camera moves gives me a headache. I wish there was an option to add a delay, because it feels erratic—the camera shifts position with your creature’s every motion, BUT because it’s all pixel art the movement of the camera (which is to say, the

Playing on Switch, and whether I’m docked or handheld, the way the camera flings all over the place with the creature leaves me a little disoriented and with a bit of a headache.

Oh, it’s been a while now since I’ve played, so I’m sure my memory is fuzzy, but as I recall my main takeaway was that it sat painfully in the middle of two styles of videogame. If this were just an action game like one of the ones it was aping—DMC, let’s say—I feel like it wouldn’t be a very good one. Getting

Well, rather than just being a derp and offering an opinion nobody asked for on an article I didn’t have to read (which is that I really disliked 7R), I’ll instead say that I hope they consider important improvements to make the next one better, instead of just resting on what they did and leaving it as-is—because I

Thank you for this reply, this is really helpful. And oh, I could go on and on about RDR2. That game was rough—it really wanted to be two games, one a kinda-pretentious game movie that would steal control away from you, scold you for not looking the right way at the right time, and force you to take the story super

This is very informative. I like taking my time and “roleplaying” in open-world games, where I can just relax and explore and move at my own pace, so I was always interested in this game. I just heard a few things about how that marries up with the story and some of the other stuff you can actually do in the game.

You

Can you (or anybody else who’s played) answer a couple questions I have about this game? I tried asking on the subreddit for it but anything where you acknowledge criticism is anathema, and getting info there was a nightmare.

Maybe the user wanted to practice and learn the development engine by making a fan homage. When I first started learning how to use Dreams, I made a sculpture model of YHarnam because I knew it so well--allowed me to turn off the creative and analytical part of my brain and just practice with the tools.

The show makes it make infinitely *less* sense than the book, though their butchery of it was made much more tolerable by her casting. I’m not even one of those book purists who’s like “the book is always better”—I love film and as a medium and understand and appreciate the changes necessary to bring page to screen,

The thread of cosmic space horror running through this game was its strongest and (to me, a two-year-later buyer) most surprising element. And I definitely want more of that.

Disclaimer: Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time.

I have heard it argued that forcing you to eventually go back and farm for vials and bullets is not only intended, but necessary because if you’re so stuck you’re exhausting your entire supply, it’s a built in “take a break” mechanic, while also possibly

No doubt, no doubt, having medical and mental health distinctions is important for a whole host of reasons. It’s just always pretty clear what these chuds mean when they’re making sure you know how it’s spelled.

Every libertarian I’ve ever encountered has had a staunch “fuck you, I’ve got mine” mentality (I once saw one say that if “you have a heart attack next to me and I use my skills to save you, expect a bill,” despite not being an EMT, medical practitioner, or even trained in CPR), so I’ve developed a keen little life

Umm, ackshyually, this game is made by baka who don’t know what REAL Nipponese steel even feels like, not like one with an intellect such as that of myself who has studied the way of the blade and the path of the samurai.

Do you know if comprehensive modding for this game will be possible on PC? I thought it had a good gameplay foundation and feel like it would be cool to see other things built off the back of it.

Wow wow wow
wow wow

That’s fair. It had its problems and definitely needed a few balancing passes. But I think its tone and what it was attempting could be worth exploring again--because the last couple games have their own gameplay loop issues too. I wouldn’t mind another stab at something a little different the franchise hasn’t tried
