LOL The reason I mentioned, is I got the recipe from the Forks over Knives app. In the summary of the recipe, the author states not to add salt until after baking. No where else does it get mentioned. And I mean really, normally who reads the summary? I usually skip it.

We keep syrup in the fridge because of ants invading the pantry.. If the weather gets really hot or we get lots of rain, the ants try to invade. Spoiled ants.

I’m willing to wager that you added salt to it before cooking it. That will make it soft. I made it last Sunday and it was crunchy. You have to serve it immediately, otherwise it will go soft again. Still delicious. Great on salad the day after.

I have no actual knowledge of these things but, It won’t be ready until 2024, they’ve budgeted 1.65 through 2019, I’m going out on a limb here and guessing that an additional 1.65 or thereabouts will need to be budgeted from 2020 - 2024.
