This reads like another planted paid shill review by an influencer. I’m not saying that’s you but it reads like that.

“Several complaints seem aimed toward the defining elements of the looter-shooter genre and Anthem is getting caught in the crossfire.”
I strongly disagree here. I’ve played Anthem for some 30-40h, and after that I came back to playing Destiny 2 and just had a Borderlands 2 session with a friend. I’m not tired at all

Likewise, I think you underestimate the influence Borderlands has had. While the loot may be tamer in Destiny, The Division, Warframe, and Anthem, we can still thank Borderlands for adopting the Diablo-esque loot grind in a shooter. There’s more to that game than the randomized perks on the guns, and to try to delineat

Weird, I replayed the trilogy + DLC when they were added to XB1's backcompat library and was more impressed by 3 than I was the first time around. I was never really bothered by the ending though, and the replay was my first exposure to the patched ending.

You are doing a poor job on selling me on less-features-is-good.

“it’s $10 cheaper on the Epic store than it would have been on Steam thanks to Epic only taking 12% of revenue as opposed to Valve’s 30%”

You're assuming that none of your students would have said or done that anonymously online, based on them not writing or saying it in your class? You don't know college kids.

"What in the actual fuck is wrong with the rest of you?"
