I think I bought this album when I was 15 or 16, in '97 or '98. It was one of those albums that really transported me to another place when I put my headphones on and closed my eyes. It's the first album that really did that for me. Like the cover art depicted, when I was listening to it I felt like I was living

I find this easily to be their best and most cohesive album, start to finish. I think everything, from the production to the instrumentation to the palpable threads of loss and change and regret in Kevin Parker's lyrics come off beautifully. I'm with Luteboy, I find the synths to be the glue that keeps it all together
