I haven't watched this yet, but I think pilots are generally graded on curve around here (which makes sense, especially with comedies where it almost always takes a few episodes for a show to find its footing).

There was a time when I was watching new episodes of The Simpsons online before they aired down here, but was also still watching broadcast television on a somewhat regular basis. Without fail, whatever I thought the worst joke in the episode was, it would always be used in the commercials by Channel 10 (the network

Doesn't a disturbingly significant portion of the US also think Trump would make a good president? Enough said, really.

This isn't news. They made a joke about it back in season 3's S.O.B.s ("HBO's not gonna want us. I think it's Showtime!") and there was a lot of coverage on the potential deal at the time - I believe Hurwitz has mentioned in interviews that he refused the Showtime deal because he didn't think he could make a good show

It's also just so much damn FUN! So many shooters these days seem to neglect that aspect these days. And the whole "points by creative kills" element (and the way you can redeem them for ammo/weapon upgrades) is just pure genius.

Hulu has to eliminate their competition somehow - and cancelling shows on basic cable networks not affiliated with them is the most logical way!

Does she know she's an ad? DOES SHE KNOW SHE'S AN AD?!!

I started playing Bulletstorm this week, and I absolutely love it. It's one of those games that's so in sync with the way I play shooters, it feels like it was tailor made for me. Plus, the visuals are gorgeous, and the over-the-top dialogue in the campaign is good for a few laughs.

This is a really solid album, though I think Yellow and Green is still my favourite Baroness release (not that they've ever put out anything remotely bad, of course). It's a shame it's been released so late in the year, as it's probably missed the boat for a lot of "Best Albums of 2015" lists.

My guess would've been Ron Swanson.

… Why socks?

That or Arrested Development. A friend/rival of the two Lucilles, perhaps?

Life hack: Save money on sweaters by amputating your arms!

Amazing username/comment synergy.

The word "hack" lost all meaning the moment the phrase "life hack" was coined.
… But yeah, fuck Russell Brand.

Season 9 was a definite return to form after a rather disappointing few years, in my opinion.

Alright, I haven't split my list up unto categories like you, and the ordering is based primarily on what resonated with me the strongest as opposed to the actual perceived quality of that show, but here we go:

I'm honestly just happy to see Banshee get included at all. That show is severely overlooked pretty much everywhere (I guess it also doesn't help that it always runs in the first quarter of the year, meaning it's out of a lot of people's minds come December).

"*Did Last Man On Earth have its first AND second season within the same
year or am I crazy? I don't think I've encountered that before." - Well, its first season was only a 13 episode run that premiered in the second half of the 2014-2015 season. The second season has a higher episode order and will be continuing

I am really happy that South Park made the list (and that the three episodes listed were indeed the best three of the season). And Banshee! That was unexpected.
