You unlock Ultra-Nightmare by making it to hell in the campaign. You can do it on “Hurt Me Plenty” and die a thousand times and it will still unlock. This is still an impressive feat, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t know where you get the idea that you have to complete Nightmare without dying first.

Lifeling Wings fan here. Most of the time, the “lasso” maneuver you described is used. In Detroit, the proudest moments of your life are those used bringing the octopus to full momentum, all eyes and cameras in the building watching you with pride and admiration. For those few seconds, you’re a Goddamn hero.

You can use any old micro-USB to update your controllers. I use my phone charger cord. It really does make a big difference once you do so.
