Agreed. I seem to be in the minority when I say that I preferred everything about the first one, even the combat and the mako. Perhaps playing on the pc made the difference, but adding in an ammo system imo makes the game less fun, you focus less on using interesting strategies and more on hoarding thermal clips.…

Just to play the devils advocate, I imagine they are collecting statistics from the beta. I imagine having weird server settings can skew those statistics.

The texture one made me really angry. How the f*** is a flat image of rocks a good texture? It has no bump/specular mapping, nothing! Serious, that looks like something out of a 2005 game! If you want to show off crysis's textures, show off some of the characters or guns. /end rant.

What exactly didn't you like about 2? I'm asking this as someone who has played (and enjoyed) 2 but not the first. (I plan on playing through that before I dive into 3.)

I can see ninendo releasing a redesign that has this built in, akin to the wiimote +, except this is at the beginning of the console's lifecycle and that was at the end.

I have to agree. I always loved how light hearted the VO's were in the multiplayer as well.

But the thing is that they had the game up and running perfectly well on the mac. (From what I could tell at least, I only played a game out of curiosity. Hate gaming on my macbook.)

If you're not on steam, hit print scrn and open up ms paint. Paste it into there and save it.
