Weren’t those mirrors just faked, though? I’m certain that (like most reflection effects at the time) it was a duplicate room flipped to match the world around the player, and possibly with character models moving around and mimicking the ones in the “real” room to enhance the illusion.

Oh, man. College writing teacher here. You get this all, the, time. And it looks just like the examples in this article. No matter how much you tell people that a professional writer’s syntax is really obviously different from a college student’s, someone will still think you won’t notice if they just break out a

Yeah. It’s totally the guy who’s work was plagiarized’s fault for creating work that was just so dang plagiarize-able.

Like Jason pointed out — plagiarism isn’t just text; it’s also style, ideas, structure, etc. In this case, it seems IGN’s review followed (or I guess copied?) the original point-by-point style to the point order.

I fully understand that there are a number of arguments and justifications for piracy (to include exorbitant pricing models in some nations, inaccessibility of titles in nations where they were not formally released, etc).

Understanding that does not change one fundamental fact: In most cases, piracy. Is. Theft.

Nobody in any engineering department, ever, EVER got promoted for being the one who did the most “calling in for reservations for team lunches” and “setting up that meeting for me” and “hey, it’s Bro #2's birthday tomorrow, you want to go pick up a cake and a card?”

It’s a very frustrating answer to hear, considering the inherent limitations of streaming (bandwidth requirements, lag in inputs) and how poor the technology has done given that it’s already out there.

What are those points worth, though, in relation to the opportunity cost of spending time organizing a party, cleaning a closet, or managing the coffee supply versus pursuing a big sale or completing a large project? I don’t doubt that you notice and value volunteerism, but I can’t put thankless tasks on my resume.

Holy Christ, that Kim Possible.

It’s quick. It does only take a few minutes, but he really should charge more.

What about paper napkins?

Wait a sec. You’re telling me Remy Lacroix isn’t the CEO of Lacroix?

At no point did I say or even imply that deviant professional gamers are in any way more or less shit than other demographics of the greater population.

Why are there so many professional athletes who’ve turned out to be complete pieces of shit?

Any buyer that tries to haggle price before looking at the vehicle is a waste of the private sellers time. Doesn’t matter if it’s text, email, or call.

It’s not just a dollar if you’re doing it every day. If it’s a $2 coffee with a $1 tip, that’s 2.5 extra coffee’s worth per week. 10 a month. Over a year, you ‘tipped’ an extra 6 months’ worth of coffee.

I am not a fan of this. She is half of what makes Flip or Flop hard to watch. The other half is her ex-husband.

“Happy” is the death of drama for genre fiction. The fight for inclusion for all historically marginalized groups shouldn’t result in happy endings. Boring stories are happy.

This is a critical point. My husband’s father is a Trump voter. He cannot ever admit fault about anything. And when challenged he immediately doubles down on his position. This is, of course, a major character flaw and comes from the fact that he comes from an emotionally abusive family and has zero sense of
