You can’t leave money in your hotel. Not hidden, not in the safe, not anywhere. How many times have we seen this over and over? The hotel is not responsible for lost belongings, so if the ol’ housekeeper decides to open the safe and make off with all your cash, passports etc, what are you gonna do?
I had some of those concerns that you listed too. But I also have a lot more expansive thoughts on what’s happening and why:
“There’s monsters in my room”. Not any that you can sense, dear Parent muhahhahaah.
Eh, D&D will remain just the way the playerbase decides to play it. It’ll all come down to whatever the DM and players want to do with the game, with the core ruleset as just guidelines.
This is very different from the old days of IDE hard drives, where the jumper settings were Cable Select, Master, and Slave. At the time of course, I didn’t really think of it too much, though the while naming seemed a little funny, it was just something I accepted as technical terminology for the time. Also -…
Those are important issues you raised. I wonder though about all the other genres too. It brings up the question whether banning these categories would just drive these more underground and on other sites...which of course end up being owned by the same parent companies anyways.
Well then it’s good that you moved on.
I see your point but Jez is the wrong place to be bringing up these concerns. You need to choose the right time and place, and this ain’t it.
Well said.
Don’t love nor hate it. It just reminds me of something MSI would design.
This seems to fall under the “there’s certain things that you believe, and then there’s those you can say out loud”.
While we’re on the topic of “where the hair comes from”.
That’s true - just look at that Castlevania successor on Switch which is technically inferior to the other versions. That one also was among the better sellers of that particular title.
“I can’t imagine having anything other than water on hand while I play video games” - oh look at you, Mr Holier-than-thou.
I see this over and over, with what appear in the article as nice guys/gals, good careers, seemingly good attitude, most things on the surface, seem good.
What about when the scalpers are in cahoots with the primary business, eg. Ticketmaster?
That’s OK, it’s a single player game anyways. Right?
This looks like just another one of those rip-offs that does juuuuust enough that people here go “prove it”. Then you actually watch videos of the footage, dive deeper in the maps, the various systems in the game, the weapons, map layout, etc etc.
I was actually about to say something like this, but you said it better than I ever could.
