I work in hydrocarbon technology sales, and on a global scale it's like someone hit the breaks between last year and this year. It's not just the US, it's global. So many companies are rolling back their planned investments and holding onto their cash. Some of this becomes self perpetuating of course (lower

I can't find the list in the links above, but while we have been looking for a car I noticed the 2018 Jeep Cherokees are going for as little as $14-15k brand new. Sure it's a FWD crossover, but it's a decently nice car for a really low price.

Not sure if you’re joking or not, but I once strained a neck muscle after unexpectedly biting into a giant piece of raw jalapeno (clenched my jaw during the burn). Hurt for two weeks.

One thing to remember though is that tons of people don't use their garage for their cars, they store stuff in it. I'm somewhat guilty of this myself in that I have a 2 car garage but due to my homebrew setup I can only fit one in there.

Holy shit do you know my ex-wife? That was her claim, she "needed them to poop" (of course this was after spending the day taking tons of pills and not eating until 6 PM).

What’s interesting is that at least where I live if you really on Uber you realize how bad of deal it is and can get an awesome car for the same money (though you should still be responsible and save more money).

The answer here is donating it to a museum.

Please note that if you had asked "seems like they're barely saving any money, I don't get it?" I would not have called you stupid. Your rant acting smarter than people and calling them sheeple is why.

You are bad at reading numbers and stupid.

Aso what I wrote to the other guy: that's true for a new car, not at all for a used car lot where they will go from 3-6% interest all the way up to 20% (no joke, actually had a guy tell me that once when he asked if we would like to finance and I asked what his rates were).

That's true for new cars, used car lots also finance and will push it hard.

My biggest problem with CarMax is that they say no haggling, but their initial price is usually $2-4k over any local dealerships, so why would I even bother going there? Sure I don't have to haggle, but I can also pay less without haggling at another dealership.

Actually you house comparison is apt. While brand new 2 cars can be identical, just 2 years later they can be completely different. Look through most neighborhoods, you will see the same floorplan repeated over and over again (my neighborhood was built 1955-1970 and I enjoy trying to figure out which standard

Going to admit being stupid here: recently we went to a dealership and the salesman told us two of the cars we looked at were "under invoice", and I immediately thought "huh, they're losing money that's interesting, trying to free up cash maybe?" While my wife just asked "that makes no sense, they must be bad cars".

My wife and I are looking for a car right now for her. It being her first car (she's foreign), she loves the idea of a used BMW, but I am trying to push her towards a new car. It blew me away that you can get a brand new Jeep Cherokee for under 20k, like 16-18k (I would prefer to get her something that is a bit higher

There’s a bridge missing its troll.

In most sports those kinds of agreements would make sense since most men's sports make more money and aren't under the same organization.

Okay thank you, that part what making me crazy. I even looked it up without knowing the history because it seemed so wrong.

Wait, don’t they get new helmets every year? Why would it matter to have the foam be useless in 7-10 years?
