Ours was the largest march I’ve ever seen in our small admittedly scientist heavy small city. Even my husband came out for his first ever protest.

“Finally, I do get why 20 weeks looks reasonable on paper but at the end of the day, making a law about what a woman can or cannot do with herself means there will always be a belief that in some way, women’s bodies can be governed and controlled. That makes women less autonomous than men, that makes women less free

Exactly.

It’s still bullshit, I live in a rural area of a very red state and the Dems here wouldn’t run a candidate who wasn’t unequivocally pro-choice. Bernie is full of it.

And quite frankly women’s rights to be treated as equal human beings by the government is not an issue we can compromise on.

Now you decide to drop the ideological purity test, seriously?

Brown running in NH was hysterical to me. If there’s one thing bound to annoy the good people of NH it’s a Masshole buying a vacation home & pretending to be a local.

I had a mentor who openly told me over dinner once that she never wanted children because she liked art & travel more than children. She’s awesome.

AZ passed a similar bill last year. Planned Parenthood sued, won, and it was overturned. I have no idea how they’ve come up with this but it seems to be one of the latest things.

I have kids, in elementary school even, and I thought the same thing.

It’s my job :)

I worked for the local party at one point, you would not believe the number of people who walked into the office and complained about what the local and national party was doing yet never volunteered or donated. They got ignored, donors and volunteers however, they do not, really we keep a very short list of who gets

The DCCC can be spectacularly difficult to work with, and they probably should have entered the game sooner. That said, the 35 or so traditionally competitive congressional districts are extremely expensive races and I can see why they wouldn’t want to spend on a deep red district. It’s also partly the campaign’s job

Never! And there will be a charming friendly pub on every corner!

I love how it’s almost never rainy on that show. It also regularly leads me to try to convince my husband we need to move to Wales.

It actually gets easier if there are multiple families with kids, they entertain each other and there are multiple sets of eyes reducing the pressure on any one grown up. Have fun!

That’s kind of you, thank you. It was super stressful, mostly I’m glad nothing ever happened. Mine were in 3rd and 4th grade, the most heartbreaking thing was picking up my crying 4th grader who had been just terrified that something was going to happen to his brother. Sniff. I think I’ll take them for ice cream this

That someone called and said they were going to come to the school with a gun, and it probably wouldn’t happen but the police needed to lock down the school to keep them safe.

My kiddos school kept getting threatening phone calls last year, they would always tell the kids what was happening.

Well you might not be but I sure am!
