I loved the Petrov storyline, because he was a much more convincing opponent to FU than everybody else before him. He is far more interesting than Tusk, because he is simultaneously blunt and discreet,which leds you think that he has always something up his sleeve.

Saw him recently in Requiem for a dream. Criminal guy's selling TVs like an old-school gangster.

I didnt't say that is was completely the same. But one can see certain thematic core-elements both shows have in the beginning. It's easily recognizable that better caul saul is created by the same people.
