Texas is on a roll lately - are they trying to outrun Florida in a race to the bottom?

Agreed. See Trevor Noah for example. I was skeptical at first, but I think Jon Stewart absolutely made the right decision in advocating for him as host.

The manual uses a carbon fiber driveshaft - hopefully that’ll shave off some weight. I’m genuinely interested in this one. I think the interior and exterior design looks great, plus no fake vent in sight unlike the BMWYota Supra. Looking forward to test drive this one!

I’d add ‘The Lover’ to that list.

Meh. We bathe our kids once a week, but spot clean as needed. Most days, it usually means washing legs/ feet and hands, plus wiping faces after a hearty bowl of berry or spaghetti (or, as our 4 year old calls it, “sgabetti”). Personally, I despise baths: I don’t see the appeal of marinating in your own filth in bubbly

I think this started off as a home burglary — my guess is this gentleman helped himself to the keys on his way out...

According to Bimmerpost, yes- you can remove top speed limiter using a tune (BM3 is popular among enthusiasts). I have not tuned my F80 because it’s still under warranty and don’t really have any need for it (444 hp with 406 lb-feet torque is plenty fast for me).

It’s a F82 M4 -- I believe it can hit 160 on stock with the driver’s package, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this car had a tune (like Bootmod3)...

He’s probably praying that the owner changed the crank hub before pushing it.

BMW with blinker on ... that’ s an automatic 3 month sentence reduction!

Guy has nerves of steel - I’d not be that calm. I got stressed just watching the clip!

Doug Demuro?

Genuinely curious: what’s the purpose of carrying such tiny purse around? It doesn’t look like a wallet would fit? Just rolls of cash, perhaps?

The official uniform of Portlanders!

However insufficient you may think the words uttered by the prosecutor is, the Penn. supreme court clearly thinks otherwise as they pointed out in great detail in their opinion — and for good reasons. The prosecutor ultimately benefited from Cosby’s detrimental reliance on his words: they secured multiple convictions

You keep talking about the lack of an express agreement between the prosecutor and the defendant (not sure if it was in this thread or some other thread above) as the reason why Cosby should not rely on prosecutor’s words - I’m simply making the point that lack of bilateral contract between the two parties does not

Absolutely this -- cannot emphasize this enough. Fundamental rights like 5th amendment right against self incrimination requires bright line rules delineating what’s ok and what’s not ok -- the court decided the constitutional issues correctly here based on the questions presented.

The issue before the court was not whether actual promise was made in exchange for relinquishing constitutional right (see presented issue #2 on page 47). The court is adjudicating matters of law, and not facts. By the time they get before the supreme court, the factual issues are not being litigated before the court.

the PA court is correct here: the due process standard applied here is whether Cosby reasonably relied upon Castor’s public announcement that he would not be prosecuted in exchange of relinquishing his constitutional right to furnish self-incriminating testimony. That a prosecutor cannot induce defendant to relinquish
