Good to know - thanks! I’ve been eyeing the M2 for quite some time (though none seem to be ever be available locally for me to test drive), and after my current experience I’ve been wanting a manual gearbox. Definitely would give the updated DCT a try, though!
I couldn’t find one (I bought mine used) - though that would have been my preference.
Does the DCT have any issues with rolling stops? In the 1 series, the DCT often hesitates when you accelerate from a rolling stop - this happens, for example, when slowing down (sometimes <1,000 rpm) and then accelerating again like when changing lanes on a freeway).
