It’s a neat truck that has survived this long. But at $6k it is too much.

As much as I love a good mini-truck, this one just seems sad. It’s got a dorky GT package that hasn’t aged well, a bad paint job, dated brown interior, at least 133K miles, etc. If it was pristine and original it might be worth the price as a minor collectable, but this is neither show car or work vehicle. It’s just…
Come on, Mazda 323GTX. AWD+Turbo Miata engine in an affordable shitbox? What could go wrong?
Horsepower and range isn’t really correlated like that in an EV the way they are in an ICE. You can’t just decrease the power by half and get twice the range. The range is more about overall weight, motor efficiency, and aerodynamics. If you want more range you’re going to need a larger battery, which will make it…
I have multiple friends with varying kinds of paralysis due to motorcycle racing accidents. That, and accidents like this, are all the convincing I need to never get on a motorcycle.

That’s sorta like Lotus in the let 90's and early 2000's. Yeah they built sports cars, but the real money maker was their engineering division. In many ways the cars were showcases for the engineering division.
I mean, it really makes perfect sense. They can’t achieve economy of scale for their tech with their current sales volume, and they can’t lower the cost of their cars without achieving economy of scale.
Singer doesn’t publish a price, but I would wager they haven’t built a car for under a million in at least 5 years.
Jeremy Clarkson’s observation comes to mind “Owning a TVR in the past was like owning a bear, I mean it was great, until it pulled your head off, which it would. One day, it would pull your head off.”
“a 2021 with 35,826 miles, and the dealer is asking $34,885. That’s still $12,160 cheaper than a brand new FL5-gen Type R”
I seem to recall that the military will ship your car back to the US for free if you had served overseas in Japan or Germany. So I am guessing this was a car that some servicemen had used in Japan, and decided to bring it back home since shipping is free.
ND, as much as I’d love to have this conversation over and over again:
“Hey, is that an old Cavalier? It’s in pretty good shape.”
“Nope, this is a Buick Reatta. It was their halo car, doncha know?”
(confused looks)

In partnership with Hitachi, Aston Martin introduces the new “Magic Wand” system for EVs.
Oh dear god, no.
People who are adamantly against EVs are going to know the vibration is artificial and hate it for that exact reason, whether it’s actually good or not. Enthusiasts still moan and grown over pumped in exhaust noise, even if what is being pumped in is exactly what is happening outside.
How about they…
The 19t/26t assessment at the beginning of the article seems a bit biased, because it assumes a 500gCO2/kWh electricity (Midwest value, worse than most EU countries and 10 times more than here in France) and a relative short lifetime (100k miles), and a very optimistic assessment of the ICE’s emissions (better count…
