I like how most of these are concept cars, project cars, or racing one-offs. That’s not a good sign. Also, I found the Aurora the exact opposite of interesting.

The government didn’t mandate that Ford kill off all of its affordable offerings. Ford was simply following the cynical “build less, charge more” pricing model that a number of car manufacturers thought they could get away with in the wake of pandemic supply chain issues.

My understanding is that an ICE can be designed from the ground up to run really well on straight alcohol. That has to be a better approach than burning hydrogen. Alcohol is much easier to ship and store, and it can’t be much harder to set up production and distribution than hydrogen.

No hydrogen infrastructure = no chance in hell.

I’m always surprised how much hate this car gets. Enthusiasts are always begging mainstream manufacturers to build wild performance cars, and while this isn’t attainable for 99.9% of people, it’s very cool Ford did it.
