Yeah, my STI averages about 20mpg on 93 octane. It’s kind of embarrassing for a compact to drink fuel like a full-size truck. Current WRX is a bit better, but still worst MPG in its class. Kind of funny for a brand that tries to sell itself as environmentalist and outdoorsy.

Light pole chargers are already relatively common in Europe. They are all over the place in Paris. 

It can be very essential. Things like meeting grandparents/great grandparents who can no longer travel. Or perhaps making a cross-country move. I know I took zero pure leisure trips with my kids until they were 4-5, but had plenty of reasons why I needed to travel with them before.

They actually do make vehicle to vehicle adaptors and electric “jerry can” type devices for EVs that run out of electricity. But I’d urge you to actually read and process the linked article, which paints a very different picture from the Jalopnik headline.

The developing world is going EV rapidly, but not vehicles with 4 wheels. Electric mopeds and tuk tuks are actually taking off rapidly in the developing world. I’ve never had a negative one yet. The responsiveness and gobs of torque in an EV are addicting. At the same time, I love a performance internal combustion motor too. It’s good to have both available in the market. 

It’s one thing to figure out what was happening. It’s another thing to actually gather enough evidence that will stand up in trial against each individual involved.

Outside of the 2UR in the LC500 what high revving naturally aspirated enthusiast motors does Toyota even make? Don’t say the motor in the 86 - it uses a Subaru motor.
