Citroen 2CV?

Sounds like a Lada trouble.

I have to believe the circumstances where a 6 point harness would kill you in a rollover are pretty narrow. If the roof comes down on you, it’s not going to be a good time whether you have a 3 point or 6 point on. I don’t buy there are many circumstances where you could successfully “duck” with a 3 point.

This article has aged poorly in light of the last two years. Almost impossible to be under water on a car purchased in 2020.

To make him feel better about himself. Think of it as an allowance from daddy that he can pretend he earned.

100%. English law and venue clauses are pretty common in international contracts, which is probably not where Uralkali wants to play. No point in litigating in Russia because Haas has no assets there and it’s unlikely any court where it does would ever enforce a Russian judgment.

We’ve been dealing with 5,000+lb vehicles in Texas for a while now. Every other vehicle is a lifted HD pickup. At least the Hummer has bumpers that aren’t 5 feet in the air.

Ford has a history of “sport” being used to designate a base model rather than an actual sporty model. See also: the “Bronco Sport.

Sure, but they are pretty pricey. My wife’s Ascent would still be smoked by my STI.

The 5-60 times are a bit misleading because they keep turbo motors out of boost (especially the STI). They don’t do a rolling launch (just in gear). With a rolling launch the STI would be much quicker.

zero. No way they’d use an EJ257 with all of the emissions and reliability issues that come with it. Nor would one fit in a Corolla chassis.

Well, except last year.

Right, what I’m saying if they dropped the 3.0TT in the Giulia (assuming the packaging even works, which it probably doesn’t), it would have to be priced too close to the quad to be viable.

Like most things, it depends. My father in law got a pretty good deal on a Suburban in 2020 during the COVID-era liquidation. They were selling a lot of nearly-new cars at that time for very good prices. Today, I imagine the pickings are a lot more slim, and cars for sale a lot more tired.

Depends on where you live, I suppose. In some spots, there really aren’t any buildings older than that.

There aren’t going to be that many retrofits except in very high end buildings. However, it will likely become standards for new builds.

But the Ghibli costs as much as a Giulia quad. Plus, it’s not clear that motor would even fit in a Giulia chassis.

There was talk about a mid-spec “verde” engine, but I don’t think the budget for a third engine was there. Right now, they are just milking the platform/engine lineup until they make the EV switch. There won’t be a second gen ICE Giulia or Stelvio.

They do offer it with a v6 tt. It’s called the quad.

I don’t think this is so much a case of “risking their lives for VW” as it is a recognition that they can’t shut down all industry in the entire country indefinitely. At some point, there has to be economic activity so people can eat.
