Yeah, I originally clicked “NP” just based on the price, mileage and quick glance at the headline photo. But this car seems to have some issues.

There are fighter plane rides (including old MIGs even) you can buy in the U.S.
This thing isn’t even capable of reaching the actual internationally-defined boundary of space (100km altitude). If you just want to experience weightlessness, you don’t need to go to the mesosphere to do it. You could do it for less than 1/10th the price in a regular airplane.

“President’s Circle” status can also come from having “Platinum” status on United. I have it despite only renting form Hertz twice in the last two years (I usually fly international for business and don’t rent cars abroad).
They understand. They just don’t care. They will only own it during the warranty period and will receive an identical loaner car when it goes to the shop, and have other cars to drive anyways.
Actually, tax law changes are great for tax lawyers. Even if the U.S. abolished the corporate income tax, I would have plenty to do in the international side.
I was not really a fan of them looks-wise when new. Not that I will ever be in the market for a car in that price bracket, but I think there are way better options in the price range if that’s how you want to roll (Koinegsegg, Rimac, Pagani)
If cars like this were all about the wet dreams of petrolheads, it would have had a twin turbo Voodoo making 1,000hp.
I had no idea they were even still making these. Seems like the whole generation fell a bit short. Performance just isn’t up to stuff for what is supposed to be a world-beating hypercar. The decision to go with a v6 was not the right one.
Is closing a daycare down for that long really appropriate anymore? I have a 2 year old in daycare (and a vaccinated 5 year old in pre school).
Here’s the thing: nearly all of those deaths are among the unvaccinated. We have to ask ourselves: at what point do we stop making concessions for those who refuse to help themselves?
Because the take is almost always based on a political narrative (in one direction or another) rather than an actual understanding of the tax law or basic tax principles. There are usually lots of misconceptions about things like tax havens (how they are and are not used), and an ignorance of tax history and why…
Even after they start turning a book profit (which Tesla is), there is going to be a significant lag before they start paying a tax profit.
As a tax lawyer, I cringe every time a non-professional attempts to talk tax. It’s bad even when major outlets like the New York Times or Wall Street Journal do it. It’s even worse when a car blog does it.
You are almost never going to see any high-growth company paying significant U.S. federal income tax given the current tax rules. They are making huge new investments, which will qualify for various accelerated depreciation deductions. Very little fancy footwork needs to happen.
The latter was the predecessor of the former. So wouldn’t it be a revival of both? Problem from a name standpoint is the Giulietta’s recent history as a hatchback FWD car.
Global car sales are still substantially below 2019 numbers.
I actually agree that Subarus overall are easy to work on. It’s really just the spark plug job that is a PITA. WAYYY easier than my old vr6 GTI, where every single job required pulling the front end off.
Yeah, took me about 4 hours when I did mine. I can see it getting better with a specific tool, but I can’t see it ever not being fiddly. True that other jobs are easy, although I also curse them for using a stretch belt for A/C rather than a proper tensioner. It requires a special tool, but even with that tool I…
