I'm wondering if the cremation thing isn't just a ruse from the Master/Cybermen to get more people to leave their bodies to the care of 3W (i.e. cyberconversion). Cremation would certainly spoil any plans to use human wetware

It strikes me that any definition that lumps big lumps of rock in the same category as gas giants, but in a different category from other big lumps of rock is always going to be flawed.

It only serves to highlight what a naff scene it was to begin with

Is the Einstellung Effect the best explanation for observations around creativity and expertise? Or is it simply a good one?

So she called the exterminator in to remove unwanted pests from her spare room

"but is it really racism if even black officers can't overcome this prejudice?"

This is awful stuff and I take my hat off to everyone dealing with this rubbish. Having moderated on a website in the past that gained unwanted attention (although nowhere near as grotesque or voluminous) I know how frustrating this is. But I will say that in that experience IP blocking had little to no effect - IPs

Or you could accept the fact that we write books for people to read them.

It's okay - I'm sure you'll find a way to work in the other 18

Sounds like a few people on this thread need to stop watching films with their mothers :)

The more I think about it, the more I think there's no such thing as a plot twist that can't be overused. They work because they are unexpected, so they must be rare enough. A few years ago I watched Fight Club, Identity and Secret Window for the first time within the space of about a week. I wanted to throw the TV

I didn't specifically know it had a twist. I guess that's part of the issue in the original post - overuse of any twists in movies set some people up for sniffing them out.

It's Saturday here and I'm home with my unwell daughter. She made me watch the Hunger Games and I made her watch Gremlins. And we're both happy with each other's choices.

I never understood the fascination people have with the Usual Suspects. The "twist" is practically screaming at you from a few minutes into the movie

"But on a small scale ... this could be huge"

Our choice was technology or absolution
