1) If you want to win an election, it’s not enough that your opponent is a hateful fucknut. If your own candidate doesn’t inspire people, you will lose.

Their response is limited to “Wow, so that guy won.” Not “Why did they elect this person? He’s not the right person for the job.”

For the life of me I’ll never understand why the democrats cleared the decks to anoint a candidate who had already failed miserably in 2008 and who revealed herself to be isolated and utterly out of touch with the electorate.

Isn’t Starbucks one of the best case scenarios for lower wage workers? It was my understanding that they have been offering benefits and stuff for years before anyone gave that to service industry workers.
