I don’t know that I would call Grover Washington Jr. a one-hit wonder. Based on the wikipedia page you listed, his album sales killed in Jazz (14 number 1s) and he seemed to have quite a prolific career.

A lot of people are pointing out a lot of Disney/Marvel shows and movies that are political. I wonder if it has more so to do with Disney trying to keep “cartoons” apolitical and not as adult because of their brand and how they see cartoons. I live in Michisippi Michigan, and I believe it. Outside of Detroit and other urban areas (Ann Arbor, Flint), there are large swaths of rural areas that definitely fell hook, line, and sinker for Trump’s bull.
