While they didn’t mention Oculus, it will be playable with the Rift. SteamVR isn’t the walled garden Oculus Home is.

I didn’t care for Arena and forgot it even existed.
The game simply didn’t click with me. Can’t explain in any greater detail, as it’s been about 17 years since I last played it. No game will be loved by everyone. Thankfully, there have always been more than enough games I do like to fill my time.
When I think of Quake, I think of the first 2 games. I dislike the rest in the series enough that I honestly forgot they existed. What Quake has become is not at all what Quake started out as.
As I responded to someone else, I didn’t play much past 2, since I didn’t like the direction the franchise went. I actually honestly forgot there were quake games after the second.
Ahhh ... I never got in to Quake Arena. Forgot it even existed. All that comes to mind when I think of Quake are the first 2 games. I didn’t like where the franchise went from there.
Hmmm .. is it just me, or does nothing in that trailer look like a Quake game?
Agreed. It's as if EA only found aboutE3 last week and just quickly threw this conference together.
I’m going to be quoting “You didn’t even watch the movie with the rest of the bass” all day tomorrow.
It’s not really about the internet, as there was still a ton of secrecy leading up to E3 only a handful or so years ago. It’s like companies aren’t even trying to keep things under wraps anymore.
Anyone else miss the days when E3 came around and we didn’t already know everything that was being announced?
HOLY CRAP!!!
I really hate this fad of having few episodes in final seasons of shows and stretching it out over multiple years. I understand why they do it. There’s more money to be had, stretching it over 2 years. Still ... If there really are only 13 episodes left, next season should be 13 episodes long and that’s that.
“but completely lost the cost-benefit analysis portion.”
You underestimate the effort in releasing statements like this. It’s highly likely they had every intention of making the announcement today. It was reported here early, because of people who don’t know how to keep their mouths shut and leak information (not the writers here, but their source) before it’s supposed to…
So ... I was watching it and was thinking “this is kind of a cute detergent commercial”. When it showed the product box, I started scrolling down to read comments, as I thought the video was over. Just as the video was going to start scrolling off the screen, the washing machine opened. That was just messed up.
I’m actually quite surprised by all the positive comments here about the trailer. I honestly think it's even worse than the first trailer. I don't know what this movie is, but it's definitely not Star Trek (even in the JJ rebooted sense). I'm still hoping that it's just the trailers that suck and it'll turn out to be…
I can’t eat anything with Xylitol. I have Crohn’s and eating anything with it can be extremely unpleasant.
Is it known what’s different about the ‘Founders Edition’ cards? Is it just a premium price for early adopter who want to buy reference cards?
