Haven’t had time to read this whole review yet and not sure I want to as it looked like there were spoilers in there.

“He’s also probably right that lots of the people who have Rifts don’t post on the Oculus subreddit…”

Fenrox’s comment was clearly an April Fools joke. Of course you’re not the media, you write for a Gawker blog.

Oculus has never been good with communication. So far, this is playing in a very similar way to the DK2 launch. I’m still hoping my Rift arrives this week, but so far they haven’t processed a single Canadian order. We’ll see how it goes.

Ugh ... Ken is my go-to character. Thankfully this is just an alternate design, so I’d never have to use it.

Now playing

Looks like the Rift performs significantly better at room scale than anyone expected. If they implement a Chaperone type system, they’ll be pretty much head-to-head with the Vive in terms of functionality.

There's a lot of great VR experience that feature minimal movement. You could likely do those, but I'd definitely suggest trying it first before investing in an HMD. My wife suffers from general motion sickness and she felt sick from a motionless experience.

Thanks.

I think even those who are early adopters don’t always do it right. I see too many people who complain on forums that a new product doesn’t do this or that or the other thing. When things don’t work properly or you have other suggestions about the product, it’s extremely important to reach out to the company directly.

I’m ‘that guy’ who has a good portion of the new tech that comes out. Thankfully i have a wife who doesn’t care that I have multiple packages of stuff showing up at our house every week :-) It’s not a cheap hobby, but I still don’t spend anywhere near as much as friends I know who are in to cars.

Man of Steel was a highly flawed movie, but at least it had a generally coherent story. Dawn of Justice does not have a coherent story. For example, I couldn’t for the life for me tell you the WHY when it comes to the Superman and Batman fight, because they never bother to tell you. It generally feels like a bunch of

I’m really looking forward to receiving my Rift and hope it ships this week.

I don’t care how long it comes out after the movie, as long as the game is solid. It looks like they’ve done a fantastic job on it.

Good lord ... This just reminded me that I still haven’t gone back to Driveclub since the troublesome launch. Guess I should probably start playing it.

Agreed.

Look at all the people who take what’s written in The Bible as fact. The Secret has nothing on that book.

I’d imagine VR Worlds will also be available when purchasing the HMD on this own. I already have the camera and controllers. Don’t need to buy those again.

Did you bother reading my post or do you just want to be negative?

There’s a ton more content available. These are just the titles they’re highlighting and will be in the Oculus Store. They really should clarify that, as it looks like they don’t have much software available, especially with Vive having a ton more titles listed as compatible in Steam.

I’m looking forward to getting this in a few weeks, but I’m looking forward to the Vive more. I really wish Oculus hadn’t dropped the ball on their VR controllers and were able to include them with the Rift. Regardless, we’re going to have 2 pieces of great VR hardware for PC this year.
