Your mistake is in grouping memories and consciousness. They’re two different things. Memories are transferred as part of the copy. Consciousness is something different and is specific to that version of the ‘person’. The original and the copy both have consciousness.

The coin toss doesn’t actually exist. There’s always the original and a copy. As far as they’re both concerned, they’re the original. The coin toss is only something that’s experienced by the player, as they either move to the new body or they don’t.

I was hoping that the right touchpad would provide more precision, similar to using a mouse (actually, maybe a trackball would be a better example).
