Yep, I agree it’s a annoying jungle of apps. And I really like that EU has stepped on it on my side of the pond.

Fractal finger!
I wish I had that luxury, I think my work would be none to happy if I went home for lunch, probably on the basis that I might not return afterwards
I demand fresh fingernail from the Subway employee I’m looking at! Not some pre-sliced fingernail from a stranger in a factory miles away.
So... it isn’t the quality of the meat, it is the slicing of it. Brilliant minds over at Subway.
We have one and it’s just more trouble than it’s worth. I love my mandolin for veggies, but unless I’m going to process five pounds of meat or more I’m not breaking out the deli slicer. It was my wife’s purchase and she refuses to let it go, so it just hangs out next to the *sigh* egg cooker and yogurt maker.
It’s deli meat. If it’s ordinary ham/salami/turkey coming from the plant then slicing at the counter does nothing except look good. This is just foolishness on Subway’s part.
New problem that I have noticed pop up in the last couple years:
I had a motorized meat slicer in my kitchen for years. Nothing over the top or industrial grade but it was great for more than just slicing meats; good for certain cheeses and veggies too. You could get paper-thin onion slices.
I used to live in Phoenix, which is where I bought the first of these. Having an insulated cup that held the liquid needed for 4-5 hours outside was nice.
There was a time when older Americans used to preach, “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet!”
Just say “chem trails aren’t real” on the internet, and watch them appear.
A guy at my work has a 65oz water bottle he brings to work every day, the damn thing looks like a mini keg.
I think it was closer to 2016 - 2017. All the regulatory agencies got packed with corporate insiders FOR SOME REASON. Boeing knew it would be easier to get by inspections because of that, just like everyone else.
I have 8 apps. I’ve drawn the line to tokens, hell no I’ll be getting those too.
for real! game freak are honestly terrible devs. they have a billion dollar franchise and yet the newest game looks barely better than Gamecube graphics and is so unoptimized it can be damn near unplayable at times. there are literally teams with 1-4 devs that make more visually stunning and mechanically fresh games…
Ah! Thanks for that info — I did a bit more digging and yes the larger “hopper” rover has direct-to-earth capabilities and appears to be communicating independently at the moment. Also, apparently one of its tasks was to record the lander’s descent, so hopefully we’ll get to see that later in the week =) Maybe JAXA…
What Knott’s should be known for is the boysenberry, because Walter Knott rediscovered the hybrid, gave it a name, and commercialized it. Boysenberries built Knott’s Berry Farm.
One of my earlier jobs was working retail/warehouse for Knott’s, when they’d sell these (along with pancake syrups and other stuff) in gift boxes. They converted a back patio of one of the bigger stores from the public marketplace area into gift box sales and we moved easily tens if not hundreds of thousands of them.
I used to cashier 20+ years ago so I generally don’t have much problem with self check, but lately especially at the Krogers near me, they need to fucking chill!
