I’m a huge grognard and generally a sucker for anything WWII related, but this seems... off. The Nintendo style graphics and the prospect of being trapped in a flaming, plummeting wreck don’t mesh well in my mind. Guess I’ll look into it more but it seems like the style is a bit of a misstep.

That’s a really interesting failure. From the side photos it looked like it might have been a fan blade-out failure, but the end view shows it was just the inlet. The engine fan blades seems to be intact (at least the fan blades on the front don’t appear to be damaged or missing), but clearly the inlet structure had…
