@HackBerry: I actually saw the film first and then decided to read the book so I was definitely pre-disposed to frame the story as the actors. What I appreciated was how much richer the story was as a novel- it didn't make the film suffer by comparison but it felt more like I was reading a director's cut of the movie.

I wasn't sold on this new version at all but there was a really quick scene flash of Chloe Moretz's face in the trailer that makes me think that Matt Reeves may have brought back the creeeeeeeepiest scene from the novel.

Inquiring minds want to know: does kung-fu as a genre have its own Wilhem Scream?

@GitEmDoneSteveDave: I kinda concur. I sat through the last film twice in the theater and was bored. Especially as they castrated the last fight in Half-Blood to make these films more appealing.

@Vexxarr: From your mouth to Hollywood's ears.

@Mk Rozga: 42 cats = just enough. They can all be coupley and drive home the despair- coffcoff- I mean adorableness.

Awww. I want to a meetcute geekcute story like that. Otherwise I forsee my future: crocheting cthulhus alone surrounded by a prime number of cats.

@Allen_Richards: Thank you for the list- my queue just got a lot longer! Now if they'll only get Freeway 2: Confessions of a TrickBaby back in stock, all will be right with my world. #horror

@Allen_Richards: Can you use some Netflix clout and get them to actually stock the GP series? This movie has been in queue for ages (I have a good feeling it's one to rent, not to own.) #horror
