Yeah I agree. Microsoft will subsidize the hell out of Scorpio to try to build up market share, so they won’t release it for more than $600

Any good meaty PS VR games you’d recommend, like something more than a quick fix? Anything like that in the pipeline?
Someone who does homebrew or general unauthorized development, please work on resurrecting Miiverse for Switch, stat! Maybe connect it to the 3DS version?
I’m sorry but shouldn’t the headline here just be: Paul W. S. Anderson lays out Vision for Next Fiasco
I haven’t tracked the last guardian closely, but the art style has the same awesome aesthetic as Ico, which I enjoyed. Like Ico, I’m hoping this game will become a nice, deliberately paced palate cleanser between all the action/adventure games I will undoubtedly be playing this holiday season.
Watch out: this story may inspire a million Reddit posts from folks claiming to have accidentally gotten prototype Scorpio or NX units, which they will report to have all the features that conveniently match fans’ wildest dreams
Did they demo any VR games on Pro for journalists at the event? How much detail did they give you in interviews and stuff about the nature of improvements to the VR experience?
I’m at the tipping point with No Man’s Sky already after just 10 hours. I also spent about 25 hours on Fallout 4 because I kept telling myself “I have to love this game, everyone says it’s a game of the year, maybe the decade.” I did admire the scope and much of the execution of the game design. But I never really…
The DS lite is probably the best Nintendo console design ever after the SNES. In fact, I wish the 3DS would get a similarly compact and elegant form. Also, I always wanted the top loading NES, it looked cool and more functional, but my parents never got me one and eventually I got an SNES instead.
I was always surprised by the negative attention this game got early on. I was always excited about it, and still am, because Next Level made it, and they’ve done great work before. I hope this game sells well enough to justify a new Prime game, and that it serves as an effective tryout for Next Level to take over…
I’ve wondered that too, actually. Luckily, today ended my streak of constantly being in the greys because Jason answered my question on this post! This is pretty much my greatest accomplishment on a gaming site ever!
You guys broke a bunch of Neo and Scorpio stuff, while Eurogamer got the NX scoop. Now that a new half generation is dawning, does it breed a greater sense of competition with other sites for news on the new consoles and their games?
Do you all have a dream collaboration between specific game creators (artists, designers, composers, tech folks, etc) or between specific game development studios that you wish could become a reality?
iOS is often the lead development platform for mobile games and has a huge library, yet Mac OS still struggles as a gaming platform, with few ports and virtually no exclusives — understandably, to some extent, given the low installed base for Macs. Do you think Apple will be able to bring some of that same love that…
That all makes sense, but what about a console that could establish a cluster of local devices to render non-dynamic background effects (non-dynamic shadows for objects in the distance, generic weather particles that are not physics-based) so that the main console can run the rest of the game simulation? I know it…
I also heard from other sites that Nintendo posted a job that requires unreal engine 4 skills, which could be a sign the NX is at least strong enough to handle that engine.
I'm inclined to agree that the current delay of Zelda was not due primarily to the NX version; getting complex AI and physics running at a respectable frame rate on Wiiu could have more to do with it. On an unrelated note (don't know where to ask this, maybe in an email to Stephen), it seems like Kotaku and most sites…
Isn’t that really weird, though? This is a system that’s supposed to have a set launch date, but devs don’t know enough about it to even drop you guys a hint?
