To be pedantic Chaucer isn’t Old English (think Beowulf) but a London dialect of Middle English.

I know I’m cheating, being English and all, but I honestly didn’t have too much trouble with the poem. To be honest treat it like reading comments on youtube and you’ll find it much easier. Droghte is just an older spelling of Drought, shoures for showers etc. If you can handle the piss poor spelling on youtube

Reading the article linked above about their first meeting, it seems that it was less of a sudden betrayal on Christmas eve but more of an eventual outcome. Sad that a success beyond their control from a crowdfunding campaign doomed them.

This whole story is so weird to me. There are so, so many fan productions out there, and now I wonder what the line is. Is it money? Is it popularity? I feel like Axanar was doing a pretty good job of attributing copyright to CBS- it seemed like they were dotting their i’s and crossing their t’s.

Too bad they couldn’t just work it out. What a waste of fan enthusiasm.
