My Grandma had 9 children, with only 11 years between the oldest and youngest. My Grandfather worked away from home for many many years, I think basically only coming back to get her pregnant then go again. It makes me so mad to think of how little support fathers were expected to give. My Mum is second oldest and

Gosh well if women will just keep doing everything wrong, what else can the experts do?

Good point well made. It took me so long to recover (physically and emotionally) from my 8 straight months of morning sickness vomiting that there’s a nice big gap between my two pregnancies. I hear about people whose bodies do pregnancy so easily and seethe with envy!

I’m resting my iPad on my baby bump, so obviously I already know I’m screwing this next child up irrevocably. And yet, so comfy for me.

Basically everything I do is wrong in some way according to some expert or another. But wait! 3 years between my kids. I WIN THIS ROUND EXPERTS!

That pastor is a horrible horrible person.

I came here to say just this! I like that kid.

I’ll take the ring but no thanks on the manicure.

17 year old me says HOW DARE YOU.

I love this story, ESPECIALLY the kicking a kid in the balls part. Jolly good show old chap!

Oh I’m thinking it was shade from the journo! “Baggy jeans and flat shoes” sounds like fashion code for ‘frumpy’ to me.

Shade??

I don’t even have enough strength for the amount of UGHHHHH your story requires. Seriously. Gross.

This is SO RELEVANT. For my entire (incredibly wanted) pregnancy, I was struck with incredibly strong morning sickness causing daily vom sessions, hip pain so bad I could barely walk, and other various ailments. I was very lucky that my job made extreme allowances, my husband looked after me, and my government says I

Is this a real question?

Those manipulative bastards!

It really helped me to look at diagrams of how a latch actually works too. I won’t go into details in comments here but the positioning if baby’s mouth and chin is super important. Good luck! It takes lots of us a while to get it going properly, don't worry.

Oh yeah, you're right! Maybe I should just stay home for the entire 10-12 months my baby is breastfed. Probably safest option.

Yes! And they should all be doing an awesome choreographed dance. Or have I maybe seen too many films.

We were total newbies. Our midwife at prenatal classes told us how important it was for baby to bond with the parents and basically suggested the bond would be threatened if other people held baby too much so we told grandparents to back off. STUPID.
