This would probably have been an appropriate comment on an article about Roman’s initial comments, not an article about her outrageous penalization by the same paper that regularly publishes Fascist propaganda from Bret Stephens and David Brooks. 

David Brooks, Bret Stephens and Bari Weiss all still have their columns, but please by all means continue to cheer Roman’s misfortunes because she had the gall to say something mildly rude about a fucking millionaire.

Yes, she will call you a cunt like she did Quvenzhane Wallis who was 9 years old, or tell you to “take a dirt nap” like she did to Courtney Stodden, a minor victim of sex abuse. I wanted to like Tiegen too but I don't think she's a good person.

I mean, if her job is in fashion, and the salesperson’s job is working at a Chanel counter, and each is dipping their toes into the water of trying to return to some semblance of work, then this interaction would seem to actually BE a priority for them.

Back in the 90s I once commented to my mom that I thought an Anne Geddes picture was cute, which then launched a full decade of my mom buying me Anne Geddes books, coasters, prints, whatever for every gift-giving holiday. So much Anne Geddes!

Her numbers are staggering - hopefully exaggerated - but what’s wrong with wanting to paid? I want to be paid for my work too. It’s not like she’s withholding lifesaving medicine from the poor. It’s art, and even though I find it cute-but-not-amazing, why shouldn’t artists wish to be paid?

Of course she wants people to pay for her work. I know on Jez snarks got to snark but y’all have some odd things to be snarky about. 

I’ve been embroidering as therapy for years. I just find fiddly needlework meditative and relaxing; just put on history documentaries or a good podcast and can go for hours.

I can relate. I’ve dyed all my clothes and wallpaper in Scheele’s Green to get that beautiful Victorian look. The drowsiness, headaches, and vomiting are small prices to pay for a home that looks this good.

Good point! I feel Sandra Bullock has clearly gotten a fair amount of work done but she looks better than most. (Though she’s definitely pushing it.)

It’s funny, when I looked at that picture, the first thought I had was that, fillers and work aside, she actually looks a lot younger without the makeup.
