I took a look into this cars warranty vehicle history and it's not exactly promising. The owner wasn't lying when he said he registered the car with BMW of NA. That's true, we do have some service and warranty history. However not much other details.

Yeah uhm that black Mini is not a any where near that vintage. That’s more of 1990-1999 Rover Mini. Notice the fender mounted turn signals? Same one used on a Land Rover of the same age. The wide fender flares, sports-pack wheels, the two driving lights all indicate late model minis.
