I dont care that she was gay, i cared because she had the most complex character, and was the most interesting.

She was killed off because the actress who played her (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was leaving a guest-star role on this show to be a co-star on Fear the Walking Dead, plain and simple. I don’t think it has anything to do with she being a lesbian. She just needed to die, her part in the story was over.

Everyone seems to want to avoid the fact that the show was losing Alycia. They were lucky to get her for the amount of episodes they did since she is now starring in Fear of the Walking Dead.
