I disagree. They both call Joe ‘dad’, and viewed each other like siblings growing up-that’s how I interpreted it in the pilot, anyway. It’s not weird to point it out that it’s an odd situation, nor am I obsessing over it.

Yeah, the "guilty until proven innocent" aspect of that whole plot drove me crazy. The old hispanic lady had one tiny kernel of doubt that the people weren't innocent, and that was enough for her to decide they should go to jail? What kind of shit is that?

The thing that really pissed me off from One Angry Veronica is that Veronica should have been off that jury as soon as she started investing the case herself.  It's a very strict rule; jurors should base their decisions solely off of the evidence presented in the court room, nothing else, they're not allowed to talk…

Yeah, the depiction of the justice system is ludicrous. 'One Angry Veronica' may not be the worst episode of the show, but it's the one that made me the angriest.
