I kind of disagree. I mean yeah, that would have been a great bit too, but how he’s handling the big loudmouths calling him a big loudmouth is great. He has only one speed, and that speed is swagger

I mean, with Aaron Rodgers dead the Lions have no excuse for not winning the division. None.
In fairness, in the two games he started for New England last year Brisett was worse than has been this year, and that was (a) with the entirety of training camp to learn the offense, and (b) with a significantly better team and coach. I’m pretty sure this is Jacoby’s ceiling for now.
I don’t know if you’ve looked at their shit division, but that season is not over until you quit on it.
I don’t know if you watch The Good Place, but there’s a running joke on the show about the Jaguars getting good and this season is tripping me out.
So you bring him in to run the scout team for a week or two at the league minimum and see if you can seriously say with a straight face that he can’t run and throw circles around that embarrassment you’re currently giving the ball to. What makes this ridiculous is the refusal to even consider signing the guy who is so…
It is astonishing, and should be embarassing to the organization, that he doesn’t have at least 2-3. He has been one of the three best quarterbacks in the league basically every year he’s played. He’s been a contemporary to Brady and Manning and never looked like a half-rate against two of the best to ever lace them…
I don’t know what media you read.... outside of the NFL broadcast announcers pre- and in-game announcers (who are glorified fluffers), I can’t think of anyone who thinks McCarthy is a particularly good coach. All the damn talent on that roster over the years with an all time great QB and they get one Superbowl? Tom…
I don’t know who this “everyone” you speak of is, but Rodgers was a blue chip prospect with three years of nothing but practice reps behind him to get ready—and an entire offseason in which he knew he was going to be the starter. I don’t remember a single word of serious doubts that Rodgers would be, at the very…
I mean, also... he’s an actor. His work—his craft, what he dedicated himself to and by all accounts loved doing—is a living, breathing memorialization of him.
That crossover to keep the ball away from the defender is a classic basketball move, and it’s awesome to see him just pull it out like it’s nothing. Was he doing this in college?
Impulse bought this last time it hit $99, finally set it up yesterday (what a coincidence). Works great, but I have to admit I wish I hadn’t bought the model with the flatbed scanner. It’s twice as large as the printer-only model, and I’ll probably use the scanner once a year at most.

Seems very likely to me that it’s specifically priced at $5 cheaper than its next competitor. When you’re the cheapest product on the market and you’ve got the most popular storefront on the internet... what’s your incentive to make it any cheaper? Even if this only costs $7 to make, Amazon’s going to snap up that…

Yeah I had no interest in this game before but now, unless the launch reviews are absolute trash, they’re getting my money.
I understand that if you were inventing the term “trickle-down economics,” you might think it was describing what you’re talking about. It’s not bad terminology the way you’re using it, at least not linguistically. But it’s a pre-existing term of art in the study of economics and in politics—and that pre-existing term…
I.... can’t tell if you’re trolling, but that’s absolutely not what trickle down means. Trickle down economics refers to the Reaganesque theory discussed above that if you allow businesses to keep more money, they will supposedly be naturally inclined to pay their workers more or cut prices, because they’re already…
Isn’t that the case with most great artists? The casual public knows and loves their most famous work, but the afficianados almost always have talked themselves into a different one that has more depth, nuance, and subtlety that doesn’t come across quite so quickly to the masses?
It gets in your throat and lungs if you are dumb enough to burn it. And yes, it can be fatal.
Also it’s right in the piece above... about 15% of the population is immune.
Is that take even lukewarm? I have always heard people argue Wish You Were Here was their best song. That song is a fucking masterpiece, especially on good speakers where you can close your eyes and place the soundstage. It’s brilliant.
