Peter still hates Kinja

Part of it is that Kimmel is an excellent public speaker, but part of it is that these two issues are deeply personal for him. He likely would have lost his son if they didn’t have health insurance, and this attack happened in his home city. That’s going to bring out the feelings. Good for him for showing the courage

If only the two heads of the Democratic party had just successfully made deals with Trump on the debt ceiling and on the DACA/the DREAM act, and had gotten Trump to come out and say he’ll work with the Dems on health care since McConnell can’t give him the win he wants.

Could somebody maybe fix Kinja so it doesn’t promote posts that are all about deals that have expired? This popped up on the “More from Kotaku” today and I was on maybe the second page.

The Kindle for me has an iPad problem—the first Kindle I bought (an original Paperwhite) was so damn good that it’s hard to justify upgrading. I’m only an occasional reader (mostly while travelling), so it’s not an every day device for me, but in this modern disposable electronics world it’s always weird when

I have this keyboard, and while the hardware is spectacular their software is utter trash. At this price I might recommend it, but man I wish their software was more usable (and less required)

Michael, I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your explanations, both serious and comedic, of your black experience. I really do think if more people could laugh over little things like “a Black & Mild is a slim cigar filled with pipe tobacco and consumed by black uncles at cookouts across America,” different cultures

That logic applies to literally everything.

I admit this is 100% a matter of subjective preference, but the scope of the map may be my favorite thing about PUBG. I love that the matches are a predictable 30ish minutes even when it runs long, I love that you can choose to drop into a hot zone surrounded by early combat, into the middle of nowhere and play slow

“Think for yourself” *quotes someone else’s thinking*

No google search, statistic, or belief is going to make you look sympathetic talking about issues of racial oppression and inequality if you throw sexist comments into the mix. It’s like arguing that Black people would be better off if only the Mexicans were gone. You go from being the good guy to coming off like a

Lost me on that really out of left field all caps comment about white women and affirmative action.

I’m not expecting it because the response of other players around the league has been minimally positive, but I really hope there are hundreds of players kneeling tomorrow.

There is absolutely nothing in the NFL collective bargaining agreement that requires players stand for the national anthem. The NFL has a shitload of rules, some more sensible than others. This is simply not one of them.

Your comment is perhaps the most telling reason why this game is so impressive. Yes, the game is technically unpolished, it is unfinished, it is nowhere near the final work it is going to be, and yet ten million plus people have plunked down to play it, and it already holds the Steam record for total players playing

From what I’ve read/heard in various places, it’s not so much that teams have forgotten the importance of offensive linemen, it’s that they’re getting harder and harder to evaluate in college because of all the system changes. A college spread or spread-option offense asks very different things of its offensive

For whatever it’s worth (since you’re almost certainly not going to buy a $300 object for JUST this purpose), this is my single favorite Apple Watch feature—that I can submarine ping my iPhone without going to my computer.

.

The other reason I won’t be buying it. What the fuck is the obsession with tenkeyless boards these days? Do none of you do math? ... ever?

Yes I use the right index finger, and no I never had to do typing drills. Internet access at 10 years old involved self-learning really quickly. Nobody tried to teach me “how” to type when I was faster and more accurate than the typing class teacher, just like nobody tries to make native english speakers take ESL

Thank you for pointing out to me why I 100% won’t be buying this keyboard. Which is a shame because I like the compromise idea.... but I definitely hit the b key with my right index finger all the time.
