As a 31 year old, all I know about my team is Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre as QB’s. When Rodgers retires, the Packers will have 35 years of Spergon Wynn type QB’s as penance. We will have 2 Super Bowls to show for 2 HOF QB’s.

As a late entrant and full disclosure Packer fan, I hate the Vikings more than I hate the Bears. Why? Exhibit A:

As a Packer fan who has lived in the greater Chicago market for the better part of the last 6 years, with some great friends who are Vikings fans, this is true. It makes me sad for them.

Is infrequent a good enough answer? I mean I can recall twice in the last couple years - once when we shopped for life insurance when we bought our new house - and then once we were changing our beneficiary information for 401K’s etc. when we got married. But certainly not on any regular basis.

Is it messed up and selfish that I keep telling my wife I am going to die first so I don’t have to be sad? I think the answer is yes, but I feel oddly OK with it.

I personally wouldn’t, but these people have worked their entire lives to compete in the pinnacle of their sport, which in many events is the Olympics. Sure, Basketball, Soccer, Golf, and many others have bigger championships. But if you are in rowing, or fencing, or a true olympic sport, this is it.
