Yeah I think that's a pretty cool thing to do.

Given the show is establishing a very friendly and pro-LGBT attitude, I'm assuming that they threw that line out there for people to pick up, but phrased inexplicitly so that people who aren't in the know about it won't get up in arms about it.

I used that term up until very recently when a trans dude pointed out a distaste for that specific word.
