“If it wasn’t him ...”
“If it wasn’t him ...”
Then frat boys should be taken out of the general population if they are such a danger to the public that they cannot be trusted to not molest anyone who has simply fallen into their orbit. The problem isn’t the lawn or the drink, it’s the dangerous predators.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
He will not care.
Seriously, that is an amazing statement for the court. Where are the tears for this promising young woman? Why isn’t she worthy of the court’s sympathy and understanding?
You know, I just did a google image on this guy and he looks just like I knew he would. And he is a frat bro, of course.
It really pisses me off that he gave so much consideration to the rapist’s future but barely any at all to the entire life the rapist destroyed.
I got chills re-reading her quotes and felt the same way. I am over here huffing and puffing at my desk fuming. I cant believe he could give him ONLY six months. Fucking douchebags make me sick
I bet the judge still sees it as bad decisions/boys will be boys. A youthful mistake rather than a predator whose behavior will only be emboldened by this.
I hope she uses her writing skills to keep speaking out against him and rape culture. Her voice is compelling, and even if this judge couldn’t bother to listen, others will.
I hope so too. Let us give thanks for the infallible memory of the Internet.
This girl is a BEAUTIFUL writer and it’s a real fucking shame that this is the way we have to find out about her gift.
I hope every woman he ever dates, googles him and reads what he said, reads what she said, reads what the MALE eyewitnesses said, and drops him cold. I hope he dies alone with his blow-up doll.

She is so courageous it's heartwrenching.
If anything this will just embolden him, and all other rapists like him. All they have to do is take a sip of beer and they won’t go to ‘real’ prison.
I almost quite literally gave her a standing ovation at my desk. What a strong, powerful, deeply personal statement. I simply cannot understand how a living, breathing human being can stand there listening to, “ I had to force myself to relearn my real name, my identity. To relearn that this is not all that I am.” and…
Wow. Her statement is so incredibly eloquent and spot -on. I really hope that she will find some sort of peace.
That’s what I don’t get. The two witnesses could testify to the fact that she was unconscious so how was he able to get up there and perjure himself?
Ok with some sexual assault charges the circumstances even from the victims perspective are so ambiguous that actually sentencing someone to incarceration is understandably difficult. But him actually sexually assaulting, that he didn’t finish doesn’t diminish the act, an unconscious vic and there were two neutral…
