@gerrycomo: Except for that fact that it is expensive as hell, and they don't offer streaming.

@aThingOrTwo: There's a big difference when other companies manufacture devices with Android than with iOS where Apple makes all the devices. This isn't an Android problem. It's a Motorola problem.

There's something here that people seem to be missing here due to the way the article is written.

@gizmodocon: Oh, an upgrade fee such as the one that Apple users had to pay for OS 3.0? Get lost, fanboy.

@A.Jaswal: That thing looks like it would tip over in a high wind.

@Jesus_Jones: It won't. It's different this time around.

@MikeK: Huh, I didn't know those were still on the roads. I don't know a whole lot about EVs, but are you still on the original battery pack? If no, how do you source replacements? Toyota surely doesn't still sell them..

@AmishJohn: I share your pain. I bought mine six weeks ago, and I live in Canada so I can't even use the 3G up here. :(

@psychiccheese: Yeah, it's awesome. I've never actually played with a Kindle or anything else though. Chapters actually sells the Kobo eReader up here for $149, but I think I still prefer my Nook. It's nice and hackable thanks to running on Android. At $259 I may hesitate before buying another one, but at $149 for

I just bought a Nook six weeks ago at $259 (no $50 gift card promo yet), and I live in Canada so the 3G doesn't work up here. I already knew about the latter, but still... FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU

I use [eol.jsc.nasa.gov] myself - full NASA record of released astronaut photography. It has an awesome search engine since all the images have been tagged.

@gizgeek: Saw it in the theatre.. it made me feel the same way, though I didn't actually end up doing anything about it. welp!

@electricarchie: That's disgusting. Your friend needs one of these.

@relawson: Anything will catch fire if you heat it long enough.

@tucker augie'ben'doggy: Look outside. You see that out there? That's hell, and it's breaking loose. All over your front yard.

@ithyphallus, 13382: There was an IRC conversation to that point in #whitenoise a few days ago. Some poor bastard was trying to cook toaster strudels without a toaster.

@im.thatoneguy2: I think that is how my Fridgidaire microwave works. It runs for a while, and then eventually a brief timer starts. It doesn't seem to be possible to burn popcorn in it. It's magic!

@ploopsy: security for the discerning pornophile to be sure

@GC: I used to use Xmarks but I found it far too cpu intensive on my netbook and laptop.
