I’ve said this time and again on here and inevitably some dumbasses accuse me of “victim blaming”. You can quite often choose not to be victimized, or at least reduce the chances of it happening.

yes, but are any of those sights, sounds or smells new this morning? I do same thing with my old man body ... but tend to not fix those body issues as quickly.
Reverse: The year DST went too far? Every year DST happens, it goes too far. It is arbitrary and pointless complication added to our lives. Makes no difference whether we lock in standard time, stay on daylight time forever, or make the smart move and all just start using UTC. Any of those are better than having the…
Disco II maybe, if it blows a head gasket. The right answer to this guy’s question is a LR3, though.
I have a Disco I as pictured. It has actually been very reliable. But thanks for pulling a tired meme out of your ass.
I hate O’Reilly radio commercials. But I really have to hat tip them on this and give them some newfound resepct
CP in 1985, 1955, 2015 and 1885 dollars.
Dammit, and I just got my O’Reilly birthday coupon!
I think he more means tablets that are effectively taped onto the dash. As if the designers couldn’t be bothered to actually incorporate them into a cohesive design.
Exactly. Every Land Rover discussion is full of lackwits who have never been within 50 yards of one yet think they know all about them.
This! I have a supercharged sport with 150k on it. Everything works :) well, except that one air leak I can’t pin down for the life of me.
Ssshhh, let them keep right on thinking that this is going to be a nightmare. Gotta keep prices low for those of us brave enough to drive old Land Rovers.
All joking aside, this platform is pretty solid. The 4.4L AJ133 is a rock solid engine, as is the ZF 6 speed. The only potential issue may be the air suspension, however an upgraded compressor and a quick ECU flash will sort that right out. Or you can ruin it with a spring conversion, your call.
Touche. Well said.
This is also my plan. I can’t do it quite yet but I spend too much time on craigslist etc. and it’s bound to happen soon. Also in a few years the post 2006 ones will be cheaper and my understanding is they don’t have the IMS issue and have a bit more displacement.
I’m actually kind of shocked at the prices. 2016 Dart for $21k?? Shouldn’t these be discounted a lot more? No wonder they aren’t selling. Back in 2015 when these things were brand spanking new the SXT trim had a $20k MSRP. Yes, lower than what most of these are listed for today.
When are we going to stop pretending that shitbox econo cars from the 80's are somehow loved and missed? The reason it only has 17k on it is because they are TERRIBLE FUCKING CARS and the original owner quickly realized it. 7k? There’s no way.
I feel sorry for the small, rural GM dealers who rely on these and Silverados to keep the lights on. The new Expedition and Navigator look significantly more attractive. The years-old current F-150 is still very competitive with the all-new Silverado, and it’s about to get its own redesign. The Ram is performing very…

Neutral: No thanks. I plan to exercise my right to be an unrepentant luddite and ride the stick shift train into the ground.
