Honestly, if the specs on the range-extender are true, it makes me wonder why you would want the full EV anyways, at least right now.

Leaving cans of soda in a freezing car is also not great.

Hell, give me 350 miles on a single charge at 80mph, reliably in hot or cold weather, with a 24-48 hour parked time mixed in there.

very true! they might be great cars and all, but at what cost?

Yeah.... but there’s the whole you know.... slave labor being used in China to make things like car parts or entire cars. Or more recently, when officials in Brazil literally stepped in and saved a bunch of Chinese workers being used to build a BYD factory there. I don’t like Tesla or Elon. That’s why I bought a EV

EVs will be niche vehicles until charging infrastructure offers the same convenience as the existing fossil fuel infrastructure. Case closed. Plug in hybrids are a necessary transition to an all electric future. Case closed.

ND why buy it now when I didn’t like it back in 1976?

Not really sure about the color. It doesn’t look bad, but it’s also a sports car color on a large luxury sedan. If it was a claret or darker, I might be enthusiastic.

I lived in Bellevue Washington with those 1 percenters and saw all the same stuff, if your town has an actual Rolls Royce dealer in it you are certainly dealing with Rich ass hats.

What a shit head comment.

Lucky indeed! And absolutely, life is full of risk. Heck, I indulge in my own brand of risky behavior quite often.

Yep, same experience when I sold my Miata. Offered a better offer up front than CarMax and dealerships in my area. Dealerships were willing to match Carvana but Carvana just made the process so much easier that I went with them. Sold it for a few grand more than I got, but that’s how it works. I wasn’t willing to deal

The original price announced was $39,974.

Only available as a Crew Cab, extra short bed.  Would make a decent work truck for local business if they just made a regular cab, and cut the price 20 grand.

100% grade” is a 45 degree slope.

ND because there are no pictures of the engine bay. When you have stupidity on the outside, you can guarantee stupidity on the inside.

he was considering the significance of the passage of time being significant

If I ever get around to writing a history of GM, it would probably be entitled “....and then GM fucked it up.”

If the 2 was missing from the front at least we could debate the merits of the car itself. I’m still not sure it would go NP but it would be close at least.

This needs to be a full NHTSA investigation. I am 99.9 percent certain that his wasn’t the only truck so afflicted, which means other people are driving trucks with a similar defect.
