My wife moved from Oxford to NoMi, and she’s very fond of trucks. She’s also fond of muscle cars. Pretty sure she’d say leave the cars of Blighty behind and get something with a V8, like her Mustang GT.
NP on this one, if it’s as good underneath as the seller claims.
These were never intended to be trail rigs, and you’d be surprised how small these actually are in real life. They were built to handle suburban snow and muddy trails to the weekend cabin while still being a family DD.
British Motor Museum in Gaydon. It’s an Ab Fab display of all eras of British vehicles, a cutaway Mini that has been helpful in working on our Mini, and it’s next to the Jag test track so the soudtrack outside is jolly good too.
I love the Lane. I will admit I’m jealous that they found that really nice slabside Gixxer and bought it before I could.
At the time these were contemporary, VW had an ad that showed it was less expensive to drive a VW diesel than to walk, when you factored in the cost of a cheeseburger.
Carvana has offered me over sticker for my base Bronco with 3K on it. The choice of photo for this article may be a bit misleading.
I love all these “you can’t kill it comments”
Of course he does. My point is that in a normal vehicle this is an inconvenience and a learning experience that can be rectified on the spot with some direct action, not a vehicle killer. I’ve gotten outside the flotation/traction equation myself and have always been able to extricate myself, and never needing a $2100…
I read a lot of disdain for this guy, some of it apparently because he’s 24 and can afford a Rivian. But consider this-he could have bought any SUV or truck available and if it had been stuck in a snowbank, some quality time with a shovel and some traction mats or a simple heave-ho from another vehicle would have…
EFI isn’t really an issue either. If it doesn’t work update it with a Sniper or FITech system.
If you are looking for some top down summer fun this is NP all the way. You could spend that much on a Sebring convertible, or a SN95 Mustang, or any number of less exciting cars, but this looks like a hoot.
That’s entirely the wrong question if the idea is to increase EV sales over ICE.
I see some folks think the Pinto Wagon was good for its time.
Before he bought twitter and brought back free speech, Elon Musk was going to save the world with his EV’s. He was loved by the owners and I know this because I have friends and family members who are Tesla owners. Suddenly he buys twitter, brings back speech for all and his cars all went horribly wrong!
I was able to teach 2 out of 3 children to drive a stick, but gave up on #3 before the clutch did. We never made it out of the parking lot.
Someone should buy this before the wife burns the clutch trying to learn the art of the modern theft deterrent system.
My first car was a squareback too. Living in AK with manifold heat was great fun, I had a long ice scraper that I used as much if not more on the inside of the windows and also to pull up on the gas pedal when snow and ice would accumulate around the bottom of the pedal and it wou;dn’t come back up on its own. And yet…
Forscan will do this for new Fords, also the double honk when the car is running but the key is in your pocket while you step out . Darn useful program.
