If the X5 is anything like the X3 window wise, replacing the window regulators is pretty easy and not too expensive.

You d’ man!
braver man than I am!
The bridge was taken down, rstored and reinstalled once already in 2017 so it obviously isn’t a permanent change and the news story I read said that it would be reinstalled once the yacht is past the span. Nothing but rage porn here.
Ive sat in the back of a Mustang II. You couldn’t boink an olympic gymnast in that back seat.
American automotive cynicism at it’s absolute worst. Malaise era cars were built by the big 3 at a time when they were building garbage, knew it and barely tried to hide it. They counted on the public being “patriotic” and buying the inferior US product because it was built in the US and had a union label. The Mustang…
That’s probably what I meant, right?
Not all cars need to be restored. Make it roadworthy and have some fun
brown longroof with 4 speed? No? Has to be a Volvo 240 and not a Pinto? Yeah you’re right.
Back in high school a friend would borrow his parents Pinto Wagon and the places that car was capable of going were astounding. We ran the ass off that car out on back roads of the local military reservation and on the rare occasions it failed to proceed it was easy to extrricate using nothoing more that teenager…
Bear proof? Absolutely not. Bears break into cabins if motivated. This is not much more than a taco shell
Of course it’s China Airlines. One of their pilots mistook a taxiway for the runway at ANC some years back, and the wheels left a noticeable mark in the snowbank at the end of said taxiway. They also slid an aircraft off the main runway in a snowstorm and ended up blocking the whole damn airport for 4 hours....while…
If the guy will keep the $3500 steering wheel that would be pretentious and fake on this vehicle and knock the price down by that I’d say NP. otherwise I’d say there’s room for negotiation or ND
I know that I asked Liberty Mutual about that when I hit a hoof rat and totaled my 525xi. It was a $400 buyback and I asked it they would insure it if I fixed it up, they told me no problem.
if it had been lutefisk the DOT would have had to go full hazmat. Be thankful it was only raw lefse.
It’s hit or miss. I was able to get some parts like the little plastic balls in the rube goldberg throttle linkage and the hoses for the fuel pump and fuel delivery, but some of the bigger pieces are much harder to find.
Megasquirt, maybe even a Holley/Edelbrock EFI could work. It does look good otherwise. Of course you always have that risk of the transmission also being toast, or other issues that only come up after you get it running.
Being a former owner of a 380SL, I will confess I love them. They aren’t that fast or sporty but give off a lovely muted V-8 burble and guiding that long bonnet down the road makes you feel like a king.
That’s the tell isn’t it? lIt’s the classic “gonna stop you there bruh”
buncha Toyota drivers or the old days of Motor trend’s “little sisters”
