I’ve read reports on the forums that people are calling their financial institutions and requesting extensions on their payments. I think the majority have said they were given 2 months. Hope this helps!

Except we as owners would have suffered significant monetary damages if we could have traded it in (many dealerships were declining to take them at all as a trade) or sold private party. The values of these cars plummeted following the scandal announcement and the uncertainty as to whether we would even be able to

I agree with everything you said! Additionally, these cars are severely prone to HPFP failures, which cost about 6-7k to repair. I’ve had one go out at 44,000. Fortunately, ours was covered under warranty but I’m sure VW will try anything at this point to get out from paying for warranty repairs on these affected

You have a “free” allowance usage rate of 1046 miles per month. You’ll stay in the same bracket so long as you are beneath this mileage amount monthly and you could be eligible for a lesser mileage bracket if you drive less than the allowance. Here’s a quote from a past jalopnik article that stated the following:

Keep in mind to boycott all VW brands: Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Porsche.
