That’s why we gotta keep talking about it and reminding people that there’s lots of good games out there with interesting new content and mechanics to have fun with. You don’t have to spend your gaming time stuck in a Skinner Box. Feast on all the good stuff they use to drag you in and then get out before they set the

The solution couldn’t be simpler. Just play another game. When you finish the good content, move on to something else. Don’t get stuck grinding for little rewards that help you grind a little better for more little rewards that help you grind a little better for more little rewards that help you grind a little better

If you think of it as a single-player action RPG, you can see most of the content without paying a cent. When you’ve done as much of the quests and seen as much of the world as you want, just quit until they release another huge expansion. Ignore the endgame where you grind endlessly for minor increases to your team’s

You’ve been playing the game EVERY DAY? For how long? And you’re surprised that you’re burnt out? This is like one of those Steam reviews that complains, “The game eventually starts getting boring and repetitive...” and the reviewer has played for 768 hours.

Genshin is a fantastic, beautiful, enormous open-world

It would be ridiculous to think that slender version of Wonder Woman could lift a truck over her head. But that buff version lifting a truck would be...exactly as ridiculous. Wonder Woman is much stronger than a big strong buff person. Whether she looks buff or not is completely unrelated to how strong she is.

I laughed at the guy taunting the grass: “No one will every mow you again!”

“YES! I HAVE CRUSHED EVERY MEMBER OF MY FAMILY IN CHESS! I AM SUPREME!”
[5 min later] “C’mon guys. Doesn’t someone wanna play me in chess? Please?!”

Tell me you’ve never had an obscure problem solved easily by a forum post without telling me you’ve never had an obscure problem solved easily by a forum post.

I got “I Am Fish” in a bundle and it turned out to be a lot more entertaining than I expected: both charming and some pretty good and varied game mechanics.

If you’re playing on PC, there have been excellent save game editors that allow you to change the seeds for your ships to select the look you want. There are thousands of seeds available to choose from, so it’s likely you can find a ship design you like. It may take a bit for the modders to catch up to the latest

Alcohol is one of the foundational vices of human civilization. It seems a little much to suggest we can’t be upset about a new problem like predatory gaming business models unless we’re getting equally upset about an ancient problem like alcohol.

[shrug] As if we hadn’t spent a decade doing the same thing with “Oblivion” and “Skyrim” instead of “BoTW.” There’s always a couple big games that every new game gets compared with. “It’s a shooter, but it’s like Aliens.”

Real Gamers play games inspired by something more original, like the movie Aliens.

What if you loved the Stanley Parable but were disappointed and bored by The Beginner’s Guide?

I’m concerned this just makes NFTs seem as legitimate as porn, video games, music, and other stuff that gets torrented.

NFTs claim to be NFTs of something. But all that means is if you have an NFT of my butt, someone wrote the words “Urthman’s butt” indelibly on the top of the receipt you hold proving you got scammed. Your receipt has no other connection connection to my butt and hundreds of other people can make NFTs that also have

What you have is irrefutable proof that you gave someone money and got nothing in return except this receipt saying you gave someone money. You can resell that receipt if you find a greater idiot, who will then have a receipt proving they gave money to someone who previously gave money to someone. But other than this

One of them has made ridiculous amounts of money paying drastically more than the products are worth and the other is Elon Musk.

It’s weird how people mostly agree about whether a game’s graphics are so bad it’s not enjoyable, but have widely different opinions about whether a game’s writing is bad enough that it’s not enjoyable.

I think you can understand how someone would not like a game if the graphics suck. There are other people who don’t like a game if the writing sucks, especially if there’s a lot of it and you find the delivery as bad as the writing.
Some people are fine with bad graphics, some people are fine with bad writing, but
