I had a Geo Metro for 15 years, bought it new off the lot in ‘95. Don’t judge, I needed an easy-to-park commuter car in San Francisco. Put 150k on it, ran like a top the whole time. I love Metros.

That is beautiful.

That is a clean looking Metro. What would the urban city car equivalent of a barn find be? Storage locker find?

I would remove the entire car and it would look pretty good to me.

Are you the seller..?

I feel like it needs those yellow chin spoiler protectors the Mopar guys like adding to Chargers.

Fake diff and traction bars aside, I’m keen on the look!  Hate me.

Those traction bars are the worst part.

Is anyone going to give an answer to the comments not being navigable anymore?  Is this permanent or a temporary Kinja glitch?  It’s been multiple days and I can’t find replies/quotes/etc without scrolling through endless comment threads

While subjective, I think the new Sonata looks great and certainly is a massive improvement over the outgoing model on many fronts. The upcoming N-Line should be entertaining enough for something that’s a standard D segment sedan made for comfortable commuting. The technology in this thing is pretty amazing too all

Exactly. A capable, reliable, and efficient offroader for $20k? Id be so down. The amazing lime green color is a bonus.

Exactly my concern and desires. The people who want the Jimny don’t want a smaller Renegade. We want a solid axle, removable top, mini-Wrangler at a reasonable price. That’s not what they’re going to build.

Truth. That’s one new vehicle I’d probably buy if it were available.

It needs to be reliable. Offroad is hard enough on components. Can they rebadge the Jimny for America?

I always thought these arguments are dumb. Do you always use every feature of your car? Did you buy a 4 door, but spend 90% of your time with just you in it? Did you buy a WRX and literally never rally it? Did you get a GTI but only very occasionally drive sportingly? Does your minivan really get all 7 seats used?

If it’s really a Jimney competitor, (solid axles) I’d be excited. But it will likely be another FWD-based crossover....

I feel like off-roaders are the one car segment where an electric powertrain doesn’t make sense. There aren’t exactly recharging stations out on the trails, and solar panels will only get you a couple miles extra range per day whereas the fuel in a jerry-can will take you a hundred miles.

Sweet, now that names are back, we can get back to the cars Cadillac should be making:

If owners of sedans can’t find one to replace their current one, they’ll end up with a crossover. Once they experience the additional space, ease of entry, etc., they will be hooked, and the trend will grow even stronger down the road.

Minivans drive alot better than crossovers for the most part. I’d buy a van 100 times before I bought a crossover and I don’t have kids.
