Eh. I kinda dig it.
Eh. I kinda dig it.
A totally oversized, overweight, overpowered, poor-ground clearance, ridiculous gas-guzzler that will have one driver and zero cargo items in the back, say, about 90% percent of the time.
Eww that looks groß!
I wish manufacturers would bring back actual minivans.
So many great things to say about this, obviously brilliant father with good judgment:
I dunno. Seems like the fact that this vehicle has made it to this mileage with so few repairs is a pretty solid counter-argument as to precisely why it was a good choice. Maybe you could say that this is an exception, but it seems to be a solid family-hauler they’ve gotten a lot of fun and use out of, rust issues…
When you actually look at the 2 listings, the dealer for the Spark said it was for employee pricing + all possible discounts (which impossible to get at the same time - you can’t be a GM employee and a student and in the military), and excluded “dealer installed accessories,” like $500 floor mats or whatever.
Yeah, but when you actually read the listing, the Spark ($11,558 on that list) has seller notes that say “All prices are GM Employee pricing plus tax... Pricing includes all eligible rebates and up to $4000 dealer flex cash. - Not all vehicles qualify. Must finance with GM Financial... Dealer installed accessories and…
So much less hideous than everything else on the market here right now. Seriously, there are no good looking SUVs outside of Jeep. Someone give me SOMETHING to get excited about.
I don’t know who in their right mind could justify spending $40,000+ on a crossover SUV. How do these people justify the depreciation hit they’re taking? This market segment is horrendous at holding value.
I can't believe I'd ever say this. But I miss when a Chevy Blazer was a Chevy Blazer.
I think the $6,300 difference is due to that yellow color of the Spark. :-) But seriously, that is a big difference. I wonder how much of it comes out in the long term reliability wash? I’d trust Honda for long-term ownership over the Chevy in the ultra-cheap segment, especially. The Fit for sure has some better…
My reviewer pet peeve: “The audio (or entertainment/climate/whatever) controls are difficult to understand”. Yeah, until you drive the car a couple days, dummy.
Miata is always the best choice.
Shit, I forgot to look for taint-massaging seats the last time I was shopping. Now I feel like a fool!
Have you shopped for a Tacoma lately? I did. And it took all of about a week to come to the realization that buying new was probably a better route than used. It’s ridiculous.
Agreed. I never consider the resale value of a vehicle when I purchase a new one, mainly because I plan to drive it for 10+ years, and any resale or trade-in value I get for it is considered gravy. I don’t get people who harp on resale value when talking about car purchases. I guess it’s important if you switch…
People also vastly overestimate the residual values of their cars. The best approach is to assume that the car is worth next to nothing when you decide to sell and buy again. Build your financing strategy around that, and the trade-in or private sale amount becomes a nice chunk to throw at the principal balance of the…
Considering my wife is nowhere near as reasonable, it’s amazing. I have got to ask, how old is she?
