Conversions using OEM platform-specific parts are the exception. This thing isn’t cobbled together and “engineered” by some goofball in his parent’s garage- it uses factory engineering and factory parts. NP.

Doing it right:

Uhg the problem with it being in the badge is that then the badge ends up looking two-dimensional. Like a shaded logo on a pint glass. No thanks.

On the flip side though, I do LOVE the look of an encased badge, like the badge was cut from metal then encased in resin- mazda and lexus come to mind immediately. Its one

We got the bright idea to roll up a giant roll of shipping bubble wrap with some aluminum foil under the outermost layer.

My eyes!

That first ‘shop of yours is giving me all kinds of Daewoo vibes...

Hiding it in the badge would work great for a new VW Bus...

That’s the fault of crappy rental car, not the highway. You don’t even need lots of power to cruise at 85mph, you just want low coefficient of drag and good gearing, if these conditions are met you do not need much power to trundle along at 85...

You’re used to it.

Chryslers are fine rentals. I didn’t like the heated seat buttons being in the display on the Pacifica yesterday, but my choices were Pacifica or Sentra and that’s a no-brainer. I like the 200 better than the Altima too, but since I’m usually at Nissan stores I grab the Altima for camouflage. NFW I’m driving a Versa

Cruising speed for me.

I’ve had 200's, 300's, Darts and Caravans as rentals. They are perfectly fine cars. The over the top hatred you are displaying is absurd.

Texas has the luxury of not having total shit roads due to the winters us midwesterns have to deal with.

No, shitty MBA’s is why American cars sucked so long. The engineers know what they’re doing and people screwing everything together are generally* competent.

Shitty engineering is why American cars have sucked for so long. The engineering teams aren’t unionized as far as I know.

I would say this car is perfectly safe at posted speed limits, so dodge can sue for libel.

Agreed. This was stupid and extremely dangerous, but not nearly as bad as I expected it to be.

That had the potential to be bad, but seeing that video and then watching the gifs for recommended stories.... meh it wasn’t that, that bad.

“Why is it always the people with shitty cars that try and show out? No one gives a fuck about your 10-year-old V6 charger, I promise.”
